Your Mind Is On Holiday
Yasmin Dubrau

1 - 29 June 2024

"Moving easily between landscapes, abstract and playful forms and narratives, ‘Your Mind Is On Holiday’ is a celebration of the creative joys and interconnectedness of a multi-media practice. Different mediums and bodies of works speak to each other like translations, each contributing to the layers of complexity.

This show combines my love of Southland with song lyrics by Invercargill born artist/musician, Chris Knox. With often potent social and personal poetry, I reflect playfully on the meaning of my works, looking from new angles, spending time to scratch at the surface or flip things over, round or upside down."
